HOW TO MAKE SLAB INTO A DESIRED SHAPE OR FORM WITH THE USE OF LINE IN ARCHICAD

Hello World, today we are going to discuss on how to make slab to be in any desired shape you want. Sometimes it seems impossible to get the desired shape we want with slab but seems easy with line, I am going to make it as simple as I can so let’s begin.

 First you need to create the shape of the slab you want to achieve with the line tool, make sure all part of the line intercept with each other

After getting the required shape with the line, select your slab tool, take your pointer in between the line, that is the center or any point similar to the center, hold your space bar and left click, your slab will just take the shape of the line you created with your line tools. 

Go to 3D view to check it out.

How To Add Downloaded Library Or Object To Archicad Software.

You just find out that we are limited to interior and exterior rendering because our library did not contain cool objects, may be you want to add helicopter or cool rides but you could not find it in your software. well after reading this you won't be  restrain again, so lets get started..

First you need to download your desired object from any website, we are yet to upload objects to our data base, we are working on it any way, but i will suggest you download from https://www.archibaseplanet.com and when downloading please make sure the extension is .gsm or it won't work on your Archicard software. just like the one we have in the image below.

as you can see this file can be used in 3dmax & archicad but since we are discussing about archicad we are not going to talk about 3dmax in this tutorial, so i have downloaded my file, it is in zip format.
Now locate where the folder where you downloaded the file into.

Probably that is the file i downloaded, so right click on it and extract all the content in it to another folder, it will definitely create another folder for itself, but what happens if you want to add your object in one library? don't worry we will get there.

 so the image above is my extracted folder, you can rename it to anything like my archicad library or anything of your choice but i am going to leave mine as it is.
Next step is to open your archidcad software.

click on file, locate libraries and object and click it, and click on library manager.

Click on add, locate the folder you extracted the files into or the folder you created for the library.

just like the way i have found my folder containing the object, click on it and and click on choose.

and that is my file, the file containing the object then click choose

click that circled icon, then refresh status of placed object and reload library and apply all changes, then click okay. after doing that, your downloaded object will be available to use when you click on object and locate the folder containing the object. just like the image below

 But one thing you should know that when ever you start a new project you should add the library again or it won't displayed, i know you will freak out by now that if i use the library in a project it will definitely disappear, it won't, object downloaded exhibit the characteristics the object Archicad posses, you can stretch or shrink them.

How To Convert Archicad Files To 3dmax Or Artlantis File.

Hello world, today I'm going to show you how you can change your files from archicad files to artlantis or 3d max for realistic rendering, though this is my first post in tutorial so i am going to make it as easier as i can just follow the steps.

Step One 1: Open your Archicad software, open the a project you have done before and open the three dimensional (3d) view. then click on file as show on the screenchot below.

 to convert to artlantis file, the extension is .atl file for  3dmax is .3ds so depending on the type of file you want to save it with but make sure you are in three dimensional view or you won't be able to see options like 3damx or artlantis.  the file name is "detached three bedroom" and the folder i am saving it to is Artlantis, i created it for artlantis files, you can save it to any folder it does not matter.

 we are going to work with artlantis, its same thing for 3dmax there is no difference. so we are using artlantis as point of contact for both. in the screen shot,.then click save.

 the image above will be displayed, just click save and quite your archicad software.

 Go to the folder you saveed your file, just like the one i have on the image above and my file is ''Detached Three Bedroom'' just like the way i have saved it in archicad. open the file and boom

it will be opened in your artlantis software, there you can edit it to your tastes.
